Job and Life Skills Training Program that serves unemployed women with the strategic goal to improve their ability to become motivated, educated, and gainfully employed in order to meet the needs of their families economically, physically, and emotionally.

Women Empowered to Succeed serves unemployed women through a three-phase process: LAUNCH, LIFT, and LIVE.

Phase 1: Launch
– Intro to basic computer skills
– Internet research
– What are “job readiness” and “career planning”?
– 1-3 year goal setting
– Job interview techniques
– How to dress for success
– Homework for success
– PowerPoint presentations

Phase 2: Lift
– Resume preparation
– Cover letters
– Mock interviews
– Dressing for the job you’re seeking
– 21st century job searching techniques
– Practicum:
– ServSafe Certification
– Hospitality
– Customer Service

Phase 3: Live
– Live interview/applying for jobs
– Leadership skills
– Time management

The Women Empowered to Succeed program is designed so that women may enter and complete the phases of the program at their own pace and based on their specific needs and existing skill sets.
