Operation Smart Child

Parenting Program that aims to improve brain and social skills development in children ages 0-3 by driving the behavioral change of caregivers through parent education programs and ongoing mentor support. To Register for Operation Smart Child parent training classes, please contact OSC Lead Educator Joi Hibbler at joi@ncclife.org or 901.881.6013 for more information.

Touch Talk Read Play (TTRP): The TTRP curriculum, which was designed by Neighborhood Christian Centers and The Urban Child Institute, provides instruction and hands-on exercises to educate infant parents and caregivers on proper prenatal and postnatal care. The classes are broken into four modules that instruct caregivers about critical interactions that promote healthy brain development: Touch, Talk, Read, and Play. Participants can enroll and complete the modules in any order. The modules are each offered weekly throughout the year at NCC sites.

Education & Schools: NCC staff and OSC instructors actively work alongside the parents and caregivers to encourage participation in early childhood programs and enrollment in strong Pre-Kindergarten schools.
