Thanks for making the first annual family fun-walk and fundraiser a huge success! The first annual Chicken Strut was held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 9 AM. Although it was about 25 degrees earlier that morning, God blessed us with sunshine and warmer temperatures before the strutting began. Thanks to over 120 registered participants, more chicken will be purchased for the annual Christmas Basket Program, that provides chicken and other foods for over 10,000 families in need this year. If you didn't make it, we hope you do next year. There was a lot of fun after the walk in the gymansium, including the wing eating and chicken soup eating contests. And as for the Funky Chicken contest... you had to have seen it to believe it. The chicken snack provided by Vulcan Materials was just delicious!
Come out, and brings others, next year to make this event even more successful!
