30 years, a Legacy of Compassion!
This year, Neighborhood Christian Centers, Inc. (NCC) proudly celebrates 30 years of compassionate service in the Memphis community! This year, an event called the Chicken Strut will take place to raise funds for NCC's Annual Christmas Baskets and to get the community together to pass on this legacy of compassion.
This year not only recognizes 30 years of compassionate service but also honors the founders Mr. Monroe and Dr. JoeAnn Ballard. Memphis lost a man of compassion and a great educator when Mr. Ballard lost his battle with Cancer April 25, 2008. We remember Mr. Ballard, who was a one-of-a-kind man.
NCC is challenging the community to pass on the legacy – to become involved and support NCC in its mission to provide compassionate, Christ-centered ministry by building healthier families, stronger communities and meeting the practical and spiritual needs of the poor and people from all walks of life.
Thanks to NCC, kids are learning more and becoming productive citizens, parents are becoming more resourceful and providing a stronger family foundation, and NCC volunteers and donors are contributing to the success that is taking place in this city.
