“Give thanks to the Lord for he is good; His love endures forever.” Psalm 107:1
Dear Friends of NCC,
Years ago, my church used to sing the now classic song “Thank you” by Walter Hawkins.
“It could have been me, outdoors with no food and no clothes or just alone without a friend or just another number with a tragic end… Thank you Lord for all you’ve done for me!”
As I think over the those lyrics from time to time, I am reminded of how grateful I am for the blessings I receive everyday.
…but what about our neighbor who is outdoors, with no food or clothes? What about the lonely or the family of those who have met a tragic end?
This Thanksgiving, remember that your thankfulness can be multiplied by paying it forward in someone else’s life. Take a moment to fix a meal for a senior citizen on your street, share some of your clothes with a family who could use a boost right now or send a special note of encouragement to a person who may have lost a loved one unexpectedly.
This Thanksgiving, share the blessing of Thankfulness — Because there is so much to be Thankful for!
From our NCC family to yours, Have a Safe and Blessed Thanksgiving!
